I wanted to make a post for all the moms out there. I wanted to share my experience of before and after pregnancy. The changes my body went through and still going through! I also wanted to share how the idea for the blog came about. Warning for anyone that doesn’t want to read about, poop, sex or anything a little too TMI, then I would skip this post! Of course everyone hears how your hormones change when your pregnant and that is most certainly the truth! Sometimes you don’t even realize it then the next thing you know, your crying because you couldn’t get the flavor soda you wanted. I think the worst thing for me was being so hungry but not being able to eat. I would just sit and cry because nothing tasted good but I was starving! Although I never actually threw up, the nausea was throughout my entire pregnancy. Now as for recovery, that was pretty brutal for me. I had a second degree episiotomy so it took a good 6 weeks to start feeling normal again. Those 6 weeks were pretty darn rough in the bathroom department. All moms out there know what I’m talking about, especially if you had an episiotomy. You can’t push or really strain at all so going number 2 was extremely uncomfortable and sometimes painful. Not to mention my 6 week appointment was a complete joke. They barely asked me anything that wasn’t required by law. I got birth control, answered a questionnaire and left. Going home still not feeling very comfortable down there and not really knowing if that was normal. I know it’s my fault for not bringing it up but I shouldn’t have too. They should have asked, and checked! I ended up scheduling an appointment with the doctor I normally saw about 2 weeks later because I was still feeling discomfort and pain during intercourse. I was told that I was over corrected during my episiotomy and that the muscles were too tight and that we just needed to keep at it and lots of Lubrication. Luckily it has helped but I have been experiencing low sex drive as well. I’m not sure if any other mommas have or not but since giving birth, my sex drive has been at an all time LOW! Even during my pregnancy. I know for some it hightens but for me it was the complete opposite. i just completely lost interest in it. It has really put a major damper on our relationship. It’s definitely something I’ve been dealing with and really have no idea where to even start to help this issue. So if any moms feel comfortable talking about that and have solutions that have helped them. I’m all ears! I gained about 30 pounds while I was pregnant. Even though they told me I had gestational diabetes. Mirabella was only 5 pounds when she was born! I started off around 115 pounds and was 148 at birth and 130 at my 6 week appointment. Now I’m weighing around 120-122. And I’m totally okay with that. I’m in no rush to get to the gym really. Even being a stay at home mom, I still find it so hard to find the time to get there! Being a stay at home mom is a reason i wanted to start this blog. I would love to try and make money from it somehow, someday. I tried for YEARS to do this and just never really had a market or an audience. I modeled from the time I was 18 to 23. But nothing ever really came of out. I tried so hard but nothing really worked for me. Now if I knew all I know now, things would definitely be different! I knew nothing of this collaborating stuff until I had my daughter! Now that majority of our money is already put towards bills and things for Mirabella, it’s hard to have the extra cash to start these collaborations. Being young and free, would have really helped to have started in on that. But hey! We all learn and can start somewhere! Mirabella has given me the gift of being her mother but also the gift to finally be able to use my voice! My voice to bring awareness to Down syndrome and to be able to help any mom out there with anything baby and pet related! I’ve thought on the idea of adding fashion and decor ideas as well. I just know it’s a huge thing right now that everyone is interested in. I hesitate, only because I don’t want people to think I’m trying to be like them. But I also know it will help my following so, that one is still up in the air! Do follow me on instagram if you are interested in more fashion stuff. I do occasionally post stuff on my story, so if that interest you give me a follow!

I know pre and postpartum recovery can be hard and challenging. Especially if your dealing with PPD, postpartum depression. Just know your NOT alone! There are so many mom support groups out there. Please reach out if you are struggling. We are all here for you mommas! Stay tuned for more post and stay safe!

I also added some photos from my modeling days. I mainly worked with a photographer, Ed Frazier. If your interested in seeing more of his work he is on my Instagram and Facebook.
